Eco-Dharma Dialogues

Discussing climate change across different Buddhist traditions

A recent online discussion hosted by Eco-Dharma featured sangha practitioners from Insight and Triratna traditions exploring dharma responses to climate change, and where some of the opportunities and challenges lay for contemporary Buddhists.

In addition to discussing how practice can help with turning towards the difficult realities of our changing climate, the panel also explored the possibility of working closer together as a Buddhist community, and how political engagement was as relevant for the Buddha as it is for modern sangha now.

Participants included Guhyapati (Eco-Dharma), Sahajatara (Triratna), Yogaratna (Triratna) and Lindsay Alderton (DANCE).

A very stimulating, thoughtful and `alive’ discussion, engaging with the nitty gritty of bringing together dharma practice and our responses to climate disruption — thank you all!

Asking OneWorldSangha to add a link on their website might be a good way to make it available to a wider audience? It would sit well as a `follow up’ to the recent series of online conversations on dharma and cimate change.

Thanks Brigid, yes I’ll bring it to the attention of the One Earth Sangha 🙂
